HIS MEMORY–A Poem

his mind has flown

slipped on a frayed neuron

betrayed by  neuroproteins

skidding  across the lake of memories

like a flat stone

whose bounce describes

ever expanding waves

but a memory is like a particle

it emerges

 from a probability of possibilities

so when  captured

it becomes now

but now is a fossil

petrified and alone

stuck in a coagulum of amyloid

recalling the past

as if it is the only

present
